Comprehensive Planning Videos
Comprehensive Planning is a continuous improvement process that can be used for both school and district level improvement planning. One of the historical foundations of Comprehensive Planning is Getting Results, a linear process that begins with the analysis of data and systems, and is followed by the identification of systemic challenges that are negatively impacting student achievement. Action Plans, developed and implemented to address systemic challenges, are monitored and revised based upon subsequent data analysis; hence, Comprehensive Planning is a continuous improvement process.
The video provides a concise overview of the School Level Comprehensive Planning work flow within a school-year calendar. The work flow of schools in districts engaged in Comprehensive Planning is compared with the work flow of schools whose districts are not so engaged.
The video graphically depicts the complex but comprehensive approach that is recommended for district level improvement planning.
